About this manual

The ADP1828 is a versatile synchronous buck controller that regulates output voltages as low as 0.6 V up to 85 % of the input voltage. It features a wide bias voltage range (3 V‑20 V), selectable fixed‑frequency operation at 300 kHz or 600 kHz, or an adjustable range of 300‑600 kHz, and includes a clock output for synchronizing multiple devices. An internal linear regulator provides a 5 V output and the device offers soft‑start, thermal overload protection, and power‑good indicators.

Typical applications include telecom and networking power, set‑top boxes, printers, medical imaging systems, and DSP or microprocessor core supplies. The controller is offered in 20‑lead QSOP and 20‑lead 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP packages and operates from –40 °C to +125 °C junction temperature.
