About this manual

The SDC/RDC1740, SDC/RDC1741 and SDC/RDC1742 are hybrid synchro or resolver‑to‑digital converters that provide continuous tracking conversion. They use internal isolating micro‑transformers and a monolithic BIMOS II IC to deliver high‑accuracy angle data in a 14‑bit (SDC1740) or 12‑bit (SDC1741/1742) digital word.

These converters are supplied in a 32‑pin welded metal package with hermetic sealing, offering military (‑55 °C to +125 °C) or industrial (0 °C to +70 °C) temperature ranges. Power is supplied by a +15 V analog rail and a +5 V digital rail, and data can be read via parallel outputs or through INHIBIT and BUSY control signals.
