About this manual

The ADP3330 is a precision low‑dropout regulator offering ±0.7 % accuracy at room temperature and ±1.4 % over line, load and temperature. It operates from 2.9 V to 12 V input and delivers up to 200 mA output while requiring only a 0.47 µF output capacitor for stability (anyCAP™). The device includes current limiting, thermal shutdown, an error flag, and a low‑noise shutdown pin.

The datasheet provides detailed specifications, pin descriptions, typical performance graphs, layout recommendations, and application circuits such as dual‑supply switching and noise‑reduction techniques. It also outlines absolute‑maximum ratings, thermal considerations, and guidelines for capacitor selection and PCB design.

Frequently asked questions

How much output capacitance is needed for the ADP3330 to remain stable?

Only a 0.47 µF output capacitor is required for stability, and any good‑quality capacitor type can be used.

What are the shutdown pin voltage thresholds?

The shutdown pin turns the device on at 2.0 V and off at 0.4 V.

What is the maximum input voltage the ADP3330 can tolerate?

The absolute maximum input supply voltage is –0.3 V to +16 V.
