This document introduces the features of TI's TPA112 model 150mW stereo audio power amplifier, including supply voltage range, power output, gain configuration, thermal protection and short circuit protection.
The TPA112 is an 8‑pin PowerPAD™ MSOP stereo audio power amplifier capable of delivering 150 mW continuous RMS power per channel into 8‑Ω loads. It features a wide supply voltage range, external gain setting resistors, and integrated thermal and short‑circuit protection.
The device’s absolute maximum ratings include a supply voltage up to 5.5 V and an output current of +250 mA. Recommended operating conditions span 2.5‑5.5 V supply, –40 °C to 85 °C ambient, and typical THD+N below 0.1 % at 1 kHz into 8 Ω. Electrical characteristics such as input impedance (>1 MΩ) and supply current (1.5‑3 mA) are also specified.
