The MAX8645X/MAX8645Y is an LED power management chip for camera modules, which can drive up to 8 white LEDs with high efficiency and low EMI.
The MAX8645X and MAX8645Y are 28‑pin TQFN charge‑pump ICs that drive up to eight white LEDs. They can supply up to 30 mA per LED for backlighting and up to 400 mA total for flash LEDs, while two on‑board 200 mA low‑noise LDOs provide programmable supply voltages for camera functions. Adaptive 1x/1.5x/2x charge‑pump modes and a 1 MHz fixed‑frequency switching enable high efficiency (up to 94 % max) and low EMI across the 2.7 V–5.5 V input range.
The datasheet details absolute maximum ratings, electrical characteristics, typical operating curves, pin descriptions, and package dimensions. Key parameters include a 2.7 V–5.5 V supply range, 120 mV–320 mV dropout voltage, 0.2 % LED‑current matching, and a 28‑pin TQFN (4 mm × 4 mm) lead‑free package.
