The document describes the features and characteristics of a font design product, including high segment intensity, extra wide viewing angle, interlocking single or multiple digit modules, lightweight, thin cross section, low power consumption, etc.
The Forge EUROPA 7.9" (200 mm) interlocking 7‑segment display offers high segment intensity, an almost 180° viewing angle and low power consumption, allowing characters to be read from up to 150 m. The modules are lightweight (<0.5 kg), thin (15 mm depth) and interlock with light‑friction dovetails for easy assembly.
The datasheet provides electro‑optical characteristics such as 80 mA per segment current, 20 mA DP current, forward voltage and luminous intensity for red, green and blue LEDs, as well as maximum ratings, operating temperature limits (‑25 °C to +80 °C) and package dimensions.
| Segment current (per segment) | 80 mA |
|---|---|
| DP current | 20 mA |
| Luminous intensity (Red 660 nm) | 10.50 mcd typical |
| Luminous intensity (Green 568 nm) | 10.50 mcd typical |
| Luminous intensity (Blue 465 nm) | 16.50 mcd typical |
| Storage temperature range | -30 °C to +85 °C |
| Power dissipation | 340 mW |
| Module depth | 15 mm |
The display provides an almost 180° actual viewing angle.
Each segment can be driven with up to 80 mA of forward current.
The module is only 15 mm deep.
