The ICL7663S is a CMOS programmable micropower positive voltage regulator that accepts inputs from 1.6V to 16V and provides adjustable outputs from 1.3V to 16V at currents up to 40mA. It is a direct replacement for the ICL7663B with wider operating voltage and temperature ranges, improved output accuracy (ICL7663SA), better temperature coefficient, guaranteed maximum supply current, and guaranteed line and load regulation.
The ICL7663S is a low‑power, high‑efficiency positive voltage regulator that accepts 1.6 V to 16 V inputs and provides programmable outputs from 1.3 V to 16 V. Output voltage is set by two external resistors and the device offers 1 % output accuracy, low input‑to‑output differential, and built‑in current‑limit and logic‑controlled shutdown features.
Typical applications include battery‑powered instruments, handheld devices, LCD display modules, remote data loggers and other low‑power portable systems. The regulator can be configured for negative temperature‑coefficient outputs and can be boosted with an external transistor for currents above 40 mA.

The device accepts input voltages from 1.6 V up to 16 V.
The output voltage is set by two external resistors forming a voltage divider.
It can deliver up to 40 mA of output current.
A logic‑controlled shutdown pin (SHDN) can turn the outputs off when driven high.
