About this manual

The HCS512 is a stand‑alone KEELOQ® code‑hopping decoder designed for remote keyless entry, alarm, and door‑lock systems. It provides secure storage of the manufacturer’s code, transmitter keys, and on‑chip EEPROM for learned transmitters. The device operates from 3.0 V to 6.0 V and includes automatic baud‑rate detection, a sleep mode for low power, and four binary function outputs.

Typical applications include automotive remote entry, alarm systems, immobilizers, gate and garage openers, and electronic door locks. The decoder communicates via a parallel or serial (PWM/synchronous) interface and offers learning modes (simple, normal, secure) that store crypt keys, serial numbers, and synchronization counters in EEPROM.
