About this manual

The PIC12F683 microcontroller provides a high‑performance RISC CPU with only 35 instructions, a 8‑level deep hardware stack, and a wide operating voltage range of 2.0 V to 5.5 V. It is available in 8‑pin PDIP, SOIC and DFN‑S packages and targets industrial and extended temperature applications.

Key features include a precision internal oscillator (8 MHz‑31 kHz selectable), ultra‑low standby current, 10‑bit A/D converter with four channels, multiple timer modules, capture/compare/PWM capabilities, and programmable code protection. The device also offers high‑endurance flash (100 k write cycles) and EEPROM (1 M write cycles) with data retention over 40 years.
