About this manual

The SHT1x family (SHT10, SHT11, SHT15) are surface‑mountable relative humidity and temperature sensors that provide a fully calibrated digital output. Each device integrates a capacitive humidity element, a band‑gap temperature element, an ADC, and on‑chip memory for calibration coefficients. The sensors are supplied in an LCC package and are RoHS/WEEE compliant.

The document includes detailed performance data, electrical characteristics, mechanical dimensions, recommended soldering and handling procedures, and interface specifications for the 2‑wire serial bus. Evaluation kits EK‑H2 and EK‑H3 are described for prototype testing and multi‑sensor applications.

Frequently asked questions

What supply voltage is recommended for highest accuracy?

The recommended supply voltage is 3.3 V.

How many sensors can the EK‑H3 evaluation kit handle?

The EK‑H3 kit allows parallel application of up to 20 sensors.

What is the maximum measurement duty cycle to avoid self‑heating?

The sensor should not be active for more than 10 % of the time, i.e., at most one measurement per second at 12‑bit accuracy.
