DS1775 is a digital thermometer and thermostat launched by Microchip. It can measure temperatures from -55℃ to +125℃ with a resolution of 9-12 bits. The power supply voltage is 2.7V-5.5V.
The DS1775 provides temperature measurements from –55 °C to +125 °C without external components, using a precision on‑chip sensor and a 2‑wire serial interface. Resolution can be set from 9 to 12 bits, giving temperature steps from 0.5 °C down to 0.0625 °C. The device also includes an open‑drain thermostat output (O.S.) that can be programmed for over‑temperature and under‑temperature alarms.
The thermostat can operate in comparator or interrupt mode, with user‑definable setpoints (default Tos = 80 °C, Tyysr = 75 °C) and configurable fault‑tolerance. Power‑supply voltage is 2.7 V to 5.5 V, and the I²C‑compatible interface supports standard (100 kHz) and fast (400 kHz) modes. Electrical characteristics, pin functions, and programming details are provided in the following sections.
| Temperature measurement range | –55 °C to +125 °C |
|---|---|
| Power‑supply voltage range | 2.7 V – 5.5 V |
| Resolution options | 9‑12 bits (0.5 °C to 0.0625 °C) |
| Accuracy | ±2.0 °C |
| I²C fast‑mode clock frequency | 400 kHz |
| I²C standard‑mode clock frequency | 100 kHz |
| Default thermostat setpoints | Tos = 80 °C, Tyysr = 75 °C |
It measures temperatures from –55 °C to +125 °C.
The O.S. output becomes active when the temperature exceeds the user‑defined over‑temperature setpoint (Tos) after a configurable number of consecutive fault conversions.
The factory defaults are Tos = 80 °C and Tyysr = 75 °C.
Resolution can be set to 9‑bit (0.5 °C), 10‑bit (0.25 °C), 11‑bit (0.125 °C) or 12‑bit (0.0625 °C).
