EL4583 is a video sync separator produced by Intersil, which can extract timing from video sync in NTSC, PAL, and SECAM systems and non-standard formats, or from computer graphics operating at higher scan rates. It also has timing adjustment, default vertical output, composite sync, vertical sync, filter, burst/back porch, horizontal, no signal detect, level and odd/even output (only in interlaced scan formats).
The EL4583 extracts timing from NTSC, PAL, SECAM and non‑standard video formats. Timing adjustment is set by external resistors and the device provides a 50 % sync slice with built‑in noise rejection for input levels of 0.5 V to 2.0 V p‑p.
It offers composite sync, vertical sync, filter, burst/back‑porch, horizontal sync, no‑signal‑detect, level and odd/even outputs, and is available in 16‑lead PDIP and 16‑lead SO (0.150 in) packages. The part is supplied at +5 V and meets RoHS requirements.
