About this manual

The SP7615 is a four‑channel constant‑current LED driver designed to drive multiple LEDs in series from a high input voltage rail. It provides matched current across all channels and allows current adjustment up to 125 mA per string via an external resistor. PWM dimming is supported through the EN pin for flicker‑free brightness control.

Key features include a wide cathode voltage range (0.3 V‑16 V), thermal shutdown at 150 °C, TTL‑compatible enable input, and a compact 8‑pin DFN package available in lead‑free form. Typical applications are mobile phones, PDAs, handheld computers, LCD displays, and keyboard backlighting.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum LED current per channel?

Each channel can deliver up to 126 mA of LED current (typical).

How can LED brightness be controlled?

Brightness is controlled via the EN pin, which accepts a PWM signal or a current source to adjust LED current.

What temperature causes the device to shut down?

The driver shuts down when its internal temperature reaches 150 °C.
