About this manual

The MAX7440, MAX7441 and MAX7442 are six‑channel integrated video reconstruction filters that replace thirty or more discrete components. They operate from a single +5 V supply and accept DC‑coupled inputs from DACs, providing either AC‑ or DC‑coupled outputs. The filters are optimized for PAL, NTSC and SDTV video bandwidths and offer optional high‑frequency boost on selected channels.

Typical applications include set‑top boxes, DVD players, hard‑disk recorders and other A/V devices with SCART interfaces. The devices require external buffering to drive standard 150 Ω video loads, and Maxim provides layout recommendations and an evaluation kit for optimal performance.
