This document describes the features and characteristics of the TLP521, TLP521-2, TLP521-4 series optically coupled isolators produced by ISOCOM COMPONENTS LTD, including high current transfer ratio, high isolation voltage, and high BVCEO. These products are suitable for computer terminals, industrial system controllers, measuring instruments, and signal transmission between systems of different potentials and impedances.
The TLP521, TLP521‑2 and TLP521‑4 are optically coupled isolators that combine an infrared LED with an NPN silicon phototransistor in a compact dual‑in‑line package. They are offered in standard, G (lead‑spread), and surface‑mount (SM) versions and are suitable for computer terminals, industrial system controllers, and measuring instruments.
The datasheet lists detailed electrical parameters such as forward voltage, reverse current, breakdown voltages, isolation voltage, current transfer ratio, and power dissipation, together with absolute maximum ratings and temperature limits. Graphs illustrate collector‑power dissipation versus ambient temperature and current transfer ratio versus forward current.
