BTA140B series is glass passivated triacs produced by Philips Semiconductors. The package is suitable for surface mounting. The series of thyristors are suitable for applications requiring high bidirectional transient and blocking voltage capability and high thermal cycling performance. Typical applications include motor control, industrial and domestic lighting, heating and static switching.
