About this manual

The ADP1653 is a very compact, high‑efficiency LED driver optimized for camera flash applications in cellular phones, digital cameras and other portable devices. It supports a dual‑mode interface (2‑bit logic or I²C) and provides programmable flash and torch currents, a programmable timer, and a Tx‑masking function to reduce battery stress during RF transmission.

The device includes multiple safety features such as interrupt output, fault register, short‑circuit, over‑voltage, thermal overload protection, and integrated current limit with soft‑start. It operates from 2.75 V to 5.5 V (typical 3.0 V‑5.5 V) and fits in a 6.4 mm × 7.2 mm LFCSP package.
