About this manual

The ADP8863 combines a charge‑pump driver with autonomous LED lighting features. It supports up to seven independent LED channels, each programmable for current limit, fade‑in/out timing and blinking patterns. One channel can be driven to 60 mA while the others are limited to 30 mA. The device includes built‑in protection (short‑circuit, over‑voltage, over‑temperature) and a standby mode with sub‑µA current draw.

The IC is offered in a 20‑ball WLCSP package (2.15 mm × 2.36 mm × 0.6 mm) and a 20‑lead LFCSP package (4 mm × 4 mm × 0.75 mm). It features an I²C‑compatible interface for programming, two comparator inputs for ambient‑light sensing, and automatic gain selection of 1×, 1.5× or 2× for the charge pump.
