About this manual

The AD585 is a complete monolithic sample‑and‑hold circuit that combines a high‑performance operational amplifier, an ultra‑low leakage analog switch and an on‑chip hold capacitor. It offers a 3 µs acquisition time to ±0.01% accuracy, 0.5 ns aperture jitter, and a droop rate of only 1 mV/ms, making it suitable for fast, high‑accuracy data‑acquisition systems.

Available in surface‑mount PLCC, LCC and Cerdip packages, the device supports +5 V to +18 V supply ranges, operates from –55 °C to +125 °C, and provides flexible logic interfacing with TTL, CMOS and ECL levels. Optional external hold capacitors can be added to further reduce droop and adjust acquisition time.
