This document is a Product Type Approval from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for a product. ABS has conducted Manufacturing Assessment and Product Design Assessment on the product.
The Confirmation of Type Approval certifies that ABB's ACS800LC drive has met the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules and received a valid Manufacturing Assessment and Product Design Assessment. The certificate specifies the conditions under which the approval remains valid and any required unit certification.
The ACS800LC is an electrical drive for ships and offshore units, capable of 55 kVA to 600 kVA power at 400 V‑690 V supply. It consists of a supply unit, LCL‑filter, inverter unit and optional braking, control and cooling modules, and can be configured for single or multiple drive operation.

The certificate expires on 03 Jul 2012 or earlier if the product design changes.
