Open the battery cover and install two AA (四号) batteries, making sure the polarity is correct. Replace the batteries when the display becomes dim.
Press the LCD brightness adjustment keys to select one of the five brightness levels.
Enter the special function setting menu (设定特殊功能寻择) and follow the on‑screen prompts to enable or disable the desired features.
