This manual introduces the basic knowledge of Philips SalonDry Control hair dryer, including product functions, usage methods and precautions.
The Philips SalonDry Control series (models HP4984, HP4983, HP4982, HP4981, HP4980) is a hairdryer designed for fast drying and styling. The manual provides safety warnings, such as keeping the appliance away from water and using a residual‑current device, and explains the voltage and cord requirements.
Operation is controlled by separate airflow and temperature sliders, a turbo button, a cool‑shot button and, on selected models, an ion function. Various accessories – concentrator, volume diffuser and styling comb – can be attached for specific styling needs, and the guide details how to attach, use and clean each component.
| Airflow setting I | Gentle airflow for styling |
|---|---|
| Airflow setting II | Strong airflow for quick drying |
| Hot temperature setting | 6 |
| Warm temperature setting | 5 |
| Cool temperature setting | 4 |
Plug the appliance into a wall socket and select the desired airflow setting; the device powers on when the airflow slider is set.
On HP4983 and HP4982 models, slide the ion switch to the ON position; the ion indicator light will illuminate to show the function is active.
Snap the concentrator onto the appliance, aligning the arrows on the concentrator with those on the hairdryer.
