The OmniSwitch 6850 series is a high-performance edge solution that meets the requirements of modern enterprises and triple-play networks. It offers flexible scalability and stacking capability, supports PoE power supply and high availability, delivers wire-speed performance, and reduces network response time. Like the existing Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch switches, the OS6850 series uses the Alcatel-Lucent Operating System (AOS), ensuring convenient and cost-effective upgrades or deployments of new Ethernet networks. The flexible configuration options of the OS6850 series are particularly suitable for use as the core of small and medium networks or the edge of large networks. In addition, the OS6850 series supports hardware switching for both IPv4 and IPv6, meeting the future development of networks.
