144x65 graphic/text LCD driver controller RA8816 specification
The RA8816 controller supports both Chinese and English characters, graphic drawing, and text modes. It includes a 256 KB font ROM covering Chinese, English, Japanese and Latin characters, 1170 Byte of display RAM, and a 450 Byte buffer for smooth scrolling.
The device offers parallel 8080/6800 MPU interfaces (4‑bit or 8‑bit) and four serial options (IIC, 3‑wire, 4‑wire A‑type, 4‑wire B‑type). Power is supplied by an internal 2×‑4× boost circuit with a voltage range of 2.7 V to 3.8 V. Additional features include 8 general‑purpose I/O pins, a 4 × 5 keyboard‑scan matrix, and built‑in 256 Byte SRAM for custom characters. This manual is written in Chinese.
