BTA/BTB16 and T16 Series SNUBBERLESS™ , LOGIC LEVEL & STANDARD 16A TRIACS, is a medium power triac launched by STMicroelectronics. This document provides a detailed introduction to the features and characteristics of this product

The BTA/BTB12 and T12 triac series are suitable for general purpose AC switching. They can be used as an ON/OFF function in applications such as static relays, heating regulation, induction motor starting circuits. or for phase control operation in light dimmers, motor speed controllers. The snubberless versions are specially recommended for use on inductive loads, thanks to their high commutation performances. Logic level versions are designed to interface directly with low power drivers such as microcontrollers. The BTA series provides voltage insulated tab (rated at 2500V RMS) complying with UL standards.

The ST1S15 is a high efficiency miniaturized step-down converter able to provide 500 mA output current from an input voltage from 2.3 to 5.5. This converter is specifically designed for applications where high efficiency and small application area are the key factors. With an output voltage as low as 0.6 V the device supports low voltage DSPs and processors core supply. Due to the 6 MHz switching frequency the ST1S15 can use nominal values of 470 nH for the inductor and 4.7 µF for the output capacitor, providing, at the same time, very good performance in terms of load and line transients. It is possible to select a PFM mode for high efficiency under light load conditions or PWM mode for tight regulation and best dynamic performance. Short-circuit and thermal protection are included.

STBP112 is an overvoltage protection device produced by ST company. It has input overvoltage protection, high voltage N-channel MOSFET switch, integrated charging pump, maximum continuous current of 2A, thermal shutdown, soft start and other characteristics. It is suitable for smart phones, digital cameras, PDAs, MP3 players and other devices.

This is preliminary information on a new product now in development or undergoing evaluation. The product is a digitally controlled dual PWM with embedded drivers for VR12 processors. It features VR12 compliance, compact design, high-current output, and various protection functions.

HVLED815PF is a high power factor (>0.9) offline LED driver from ST, with a maximum operating current of 15W.

The LED2000 is an 850 kHz fixed switching frequency monolithic step-down DC-DC converter designed to operate as precise constant current source with an adjustable current capability up to 3 A DC. The embedded PWM dimming circuitry features LED brightness control. The regulated output current is set connecting a sensing resistor to the feedback pin. The embedded synchronous rectification and the 100 mV typical RSENSE voltage drop enhance the efficiency performance. The size of the overall application is minimized thanks to the high switching frequency and ceramic output capacitor compatibility. The device is fully protected against thermal overheating, overcurrent and output short-circuit. The LED2000 is available in VFQFPN 4 mm x 4 mm 8-lead package, and standard SO8.

The HVLED807PF is a high-voltage primary switcher intended to operate directly from the rectified mains with high power factor capability and efficiency, providing a cost-effective solution for LED driving.

The ST1S32 is a 4A DC step-down switching regulator with an input voltage range of 2.8V to 5.5V. It features an adjustable output voltage down to 0.8V, a switching frequency of 1.5MHz, and internal soft-start and enable functions.

The PM6644 is a 350mA valley current limit step-down regulator capable of delivering an adjustable output voltage in the range between 0.9 V and 8 V.
