DALLAS DS9092K handbook
The DS9092K iButton Starter Kit provides basic hardware and software for a quick evaluation of Dallas Semiconductor’s iButton family, using an IBM-compatible computer. The kit includes iButtons and demonstration software to easily communicate with iButtons and most plastic-packaged 1-WireTM devices as well as an assortment of accessories. The DS9092K also includes a Software Developer’s Kit (DS0621-SDK), which provides documentation and source code examples to aid in the development of custom iButton applications.

DALLAS DS1920 handbook
The document describes a special feature digital thermometer that measures temperatures from -55°C to +100°C in approximately 0.2 seconds. The thermometer has zero standby power, 0.5°C resolution, and the digital temperature reading is the two's complement of the °C value. It can access internal counters to increase resolution through interpolation. The thermometer reduces control, address, data, and power to a single data contact. It also has an 8-bit device-generated CRC for data integrity, an 8-bit family code that specifies DS1920 communications requirements to the reader, and a special command set that allows the user to skip the ROM section and perform temperature measurements simultaneously for all devices on the bus. It has 2 bytes of EEPROM that can be used as alarm triggers or user memory, and the alarm search function directly indicates which device senses alarming temperatures.

The gold-plated card edge connections conform to the popular 28-pin bytewide DIP socket pinout when used with the DS9000 Bytewide Cable Harness. The card profile matches that of the DS1217 Nonvolatile Read/Write Cartridges and can be used with the NO TAG Cartridge Housing. It features a plated through-hole pattern for wire wrap or solder mount development. It allows for a single double-size cartridge or two standard-size cartridges. It has separate full length power and ground buses for ease of layout.

The DS9002 Cartridge Housing is a rugged, two-piece snap together cartridge housing designed for use in any portable cartridge application. Components can be either through-hole mounted or surface mounted on both sides depending upon density requirement and board design. The outside profile of the PCB should match the DS9003 Cartridge Proto Board. Applications include nonvolatile static RAM, ROM, or EPROM memory cartridges.

It features a bifurcated cantilever beam card edge design with redundant contact and mechanical keys for proper insertion and withdrawal of Nonvolatile Read/Write Cartridges. The six-inch cable length allows for flexibility in end applications and does not substantially affect the performance characteristics of the DS1217.
