ST AN3307 handbook
This application note provides guidelines for obtaining IEC60335 Class B certification using STMicroelectronics STM32F1xx microcontrollers.
ST AN3309 handbook
This application note presents the clock system configuration tool for the STM32L1xx microcontroller family. This purpose of this tool is to help user configure the microcontroller clocks, taking into consideration the product parameters (power supply, product voltage range, the Flash access mode.). The configuration tool is implemented in the “STM32L1xx_Clock_Configuration_VX.Y.Z.xls” file which is supplied with this application note and can be downloaded from www.st.com. It makes it easy to take care of all the following system aspects and interdependencies: Configure the system clock, HCLK source and output frequency; Configure the Core voltage range (VCORE); Configure the Flash latency (number of wait states depending on the HCLK frequency); Set the PCLK1, PCLK2 and TIMCLK (timer clocks) frequencies; Generate a ready-to-use system_stm32l1xx.c file with all the above settings (STM32L15x CMSIS Cortex-M3 Device Peripheral Access Layer System Source File).
ST AN3320 handbook
This application note describes how to use the high-density performance line STM32F20xxx/21xxx product families and describes the minimum hardware resources required to develop an STM32F20xxx/21xxx application. Detailed reference design schematics are also contained in this document with descriptions of the main components, interfaces and modes.
ST AN3342 handbook
This application note complements the information in the STM8TL53xx datasheets by describing the minimum hardware and software environment required to build an application around an STM8TL53xx 8-bit microcontroller device. A brief description of the principal hardware components is given. The power supply, reset control and ProxSense lines are described in some detail. In addition, some hardware recommendations are given. This application note also contains detailed reference design schematics with descriptions of the main components. The STM8 development tools and software toolchain are common to STM8TL53xx, STM8L, STM8S and STM8A and are presented in Section 9, and 10. Section 11 describes how to set up the STM8 development environment. Finally, Section 12 provides a list of relevant documentation and online support resources.
ST AN3354 handbook
This document provides guidelines for creating an in-application programming (IAP) application using the STM32F105/107 microcontroller. The microcontroller can be updated using a USB host. The document focuses on using USB host mass storage as an example. This method allows firmware upgrades without the need for a computer.
ST AN3359 Application note
This application note is about the STM32W108 product family from STMicroelectronics. It mainly discusses the advantages of using a PCB antenna and the methods for designing and implementing a PCB-printed antenna. Well designed and implemented PCB-printed antennas have a similar performance to SMD ceramic antennas, but the PCB-printed antennas have a larger size, resulting in increased PCB cost. However, the increased cost of the PCB is smaller and less expensive than a SMD ceramic antenna. The document also introduces the STM32-RFCKIT RF control kit, which is based on an STM32W108xx RF microcontroller and uses a PCB-printed antenna for RF communications.
ST AN3362 Application note
This application note presents the clock system configuration tool for the STM32F2xx microcontroller family. The purpose of this tool is to help the user configure the microcontroller clocks, taking into consideration product parameters such as power supply and Flash access mode. The configuration tool supports various functionalities including system clock configuration, HCLK source and output frequency configuration, Flash latency configuration, setting of various frequencies such as PCLK1, PCLK2, TIMCLK (timer clocks), USBCLK, and I2SCLK, and generation of a ready-to-use system_stm32F2xx.c file. It is important to read the STM32F2xx microcontroller reference manual before using the clock tool. This tool supports only revision B and revision Y of the STM32F2xx.
ST AN3365 Application note
This application note presents a demonstration package built on top of a free SSL/TLS library: the PolarSSL library. The demonstration package is designed for STM32F217xx microcontrollers.
ST AN3248 Application Note
This document describes six application cases of the two analog comparators embedded in the ultra low power STM32L1 product line. The application cases include: analog voltage monitoring, analog watchdog during Stop mode, pulse width measurement, pulse width modulation (PWM) signal control, capacitance measurement, and brightness control using a light dependent resistor (LDR). These application cases demonstrate the usefulness of analog comparators and show how they are integrated with other peripherals, such as the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and timers.
ST AN3258 Application Note
This application note describes a method to calibrate the STM8A/S high-speed internal (HSI) oscillator using the LIN automatic resynchronization feature of the LINUART/UART1 peripheral.
ST AN3270 Application Note
AN3270 STM8L16x AES hardware accelerator application note describes how to use STM8L16x's AES hardware accelerator and provides some implementations of common AES chaining modes.
ST AN3174 Application Note
This application note provides a generic solution for implementing an IR receiver in software using a STM32F10xxx microcontroller.
ST AN3181 Application Note
This document provides guidelines for obtaining IEC60335 Class B certification in an STM8 application. The software packages are divided into STM8S and STM8L families, with the main differences being the hardware architecture. The document also mentions the use of ST firmware libraries.
ST AN3193 Application Note
This application note aims at describing the key low power features of the STM32L15x family and explains their benefits for applications where energy consumption is a major concern.
ST AN3208 Application Note
This application note introduces the application of microstepping motor drive with STM8A and STM8S microcontrollers. It describes the characteristics and applications of stepper motors, as well as methods to increase the resolution of stepper motor drives. It also mentions the availability of dedicated stepper motor controllers/ICs on the market and the demand for stepper motors with a lower current rating in applications such as automotive dashboards.
