MAXIM MAX6314* 68HC11/Bidirectional-Compatible P Reset Circuit handbook
The MAX6314 low-power CMOS microprocessor (μP) supervisory circuit is designed to monitor power supplies in μP and digital systems. The MAX6314’s RESET output is bidirectional, allowing it to be directly connected to μPs with bidirectional reset inputs, such as the 68HC11. It provides excellent circuit reliability and low cost by eliminating external components and adjustments. The MAX6314 also provides a debounced manual reset input. This device performs a single function: it asserts a reset signal whenever the VCC supply voltage falls below a preset threshold or whenever manual reset is asserted. Reset remains asserted for an internally programmed interval (reset timeout period) after VCC has risen above the reset threshold or manual reset is deasserted. The MAX6314 comes with factory-trimmed reset threshold voltages in 100mV increments from 2.5V to 5V. Preset timeout periods of 1ms, 20ms, 140ms, and 1120ms (minimum) are also available. The device comes in a SOT143 package. For a μP supervisor with an open-drain reset pin, see the MAX6315 data sheet.

MAXIM MAX4554 handbook
The MAX4554/MAX4555/MAX4556 are CMOS analog ICs configured as force-sense switches for Kelvin sensing in automated test equipment (ATE). Each part contains high-current, low-resistance switches for forcing current, and higher resistance switches for sensing a voltage or switching guard signals. The MAX4554 contains two force switches, two sense switches, and two guard switches configured as two triple-pole/single-throw (3PST) normally open (NO) switches. The MAX4555 contains four independent single-pole/single-throw (SPST) normally closed (NC) switches, two force switches, and two sense switches. The MAX4556 contains three independent single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) switches, of which one is a force switch and two are sense switches. These devices operate from a single supply of +9V to +40V or dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V. On-resistance (6Ω max) is matched between switches to 1Ω max. Each switch can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. The off-leakage current is only 0.25nA at +25°C and 2.5nA at +85°C. The MAX4554 is also fully specified for +20V and -10V operation. All digital inputs have +0.8V and +2.4V logic thresholds, ensuring both TTL- and CMOS-logic compatibility.

MAXIM MAX6501/6504 handbook
The MAX6501-MAX6504 are low-cost, fully integrated temperature switches that assert a logic signal when their die temperature crosses a factory-programmed threshold. Operating from a +2.7V to +5.5V supply, these devices feature two on-chip, temperature-dependent voltage references and a comparator. They are available with factory-trimmed temperature trip thresholds from -45°C to +115°C in 10°C increments, and are accurate to ±0.5°C (typ) or ±6°C (max). These devices require no external components and typically consume 30µA supply current. Hysteresis is pin-selectable at +2°C or +10°C. The MAX6501/MAX6503 have an active-low, open-drain output intended to interface with a microprocessor (µP) reset input. The MAX6502/MAX6504 have an active-high, push-pull output intended to directly drive fan-control logic. The MAX6501/MAX6502 are offered with hot-temperature thresholds (+35°C to +115°C), asserting when the temperature is above the threshold. The MAX6503/MAX6504 are offered with cold-temperature thresholds (-45°C to +15°C), asserting when the temperature is below the threshold. The MAX6501-MAX6504 are offered in eight standard temperature versions; contact the factory for pricing and availability of nonstandard temperature versions. They are available in 5-pin SOT23 and 7-pin TO-220 packages.

MAXIM MAX398/MAX399 handbook(1)
The MAX398/MAX399 are precision, monolithic, CMOS analog multiplexers (MUXes) from MAXIM Corporation. It features low on-resistance (less than 100Ω), which is matched to within 6Ω between channels and remains flat over the specified analog signal range (11Ω max). It also features low leakage over temperature (NO-off leakage current less than 2.5nA at +85°C) and fast switching speeds (transition time less than 250ns). MAX398 is an 8-channel device, and MAX399 is a dual 4-channel device. MAX398/MAX399 are fabricated with Maxim’s low-voltage silicon-gate process. Design improvements yield extremely low charge injection (less than 5pC) and guarantee electrostatic discharge protection greater than 2000V. These muxes operate with a single +3V to +15V supply or bipolar ±3V to ±8V supplies, while retaining CMOS-logic input compatibility and fast switching. CMOS inputs pro- vide reduced input loading. The MAX398/MAX399 are pin compatible with the industry-standard DG408/DG409/DG508A/DG509A.
