  • MAXIM MAX690/91/92/93/94/95 handbook

  • MAXIM MAX6701 08/MAX6701A 03A/05A 07A handbook

The MAX6701-MAX6708 microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuits reduce the complexity and components required to monitor power-supply functions in µP systems. These devices significantly improve system reliability and accu- racy compared to separate ICs or discrete components. The MAX6701-MAX6708 family provides four functions: a reset output during power-up, power-down, and brownout conditions; an independent watchdog output that goes low if the watchdog input has not been toggled within 1.6s; a 0.62V threshold detector for power-fail warning; and an active-low manual reset input. The MAX6701-MAX6708 family offers several pinout options to accommodate a variety of multivoltage micro- processor supervision applications. The MAX6701(A)/MAX6702(A)/MAX6703(A) monitor three supply voltages (one fixed threshold and two adjustable) to drive a single reset output and include a manual reset input and a watchdog timer with an inde- pendent output. The MAX6704 monitors a single-supply voltage to drive complementary reset outputs and includes an independent adjustable power-fail-in/power- fail-out comparator, a manual reset input, and a reset- based watchdog timer. The MAX6705(A)/MAX6706(A)/ MAX6707(A) monitor a single-supply voltage to drive a single reset output and include an independent adjustable power-fail-in/power-fail-out comparator, a manual reset input, and a watchdog timer with an inde- pendent output. The MAX6708 is the same as the MAX6704 but without the wa

  • MAXIM MAX6461 MAX6466 handbook

The MAX6461-MAX6466 family is a series of ultra-low-power voltage detectors and µP reset supervisory circuits that monitor battery, power-supply, and system voltages. Each circuit includes a precision bandgap reference, a comparator, internally trimmed resistor networks that set specified trip thresholds, and an internal 5% threshold hysteresis circuit. Output is asserted when VCC falls below the internal VTH- and remains asserted until VCC rises above VTH+ (VTH+ = VTH- × 1.05). These devices provide excellent circuit reliability and low cost by eliminating external components and adjustments when monitoring nominal system voltages from +1.6V to +5.5V. The MAX6461/MAX6462/MAX6463 are voltage detectors with a propagation delay of 17µs. The MAX6464/MAX6465/MAX6466 are µP supervisory circuits with a minimum reset timeout period of 150ms. All devices are available with thresholds from +1.6V to +5.5V in 100mV increments. The family is available with three output stage options: push-pull with active-low output, push-pull with active-high output, and open drain with active-low output. These devices are available in SC70 and SOT23 packages specified over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.

The MAX5878 is an advanced 16-bit, 250Msps, dual digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This DAC meets the demanding performance requirements of signal synthesis applications found in wireless base stations and other communications applications. Operating from +3.3V and +1.8V supplies, this dual DAC offers exceptional dynamic performance such as 76dBc spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) at fOUT = 16MHz and supports update rates of 250Msps, with a power dissipation of only 296mW. The MAX5878 utilizes a current-steering architecture that supports a 2mA to 20mA full-scale output current range, and allows a 0.1VP-P to 1VP-P differential output voltage swing. The device features an integrated +1.2V bandgap reference and control amplifier to ensure high-accuracy and low-noise performance. A separate reference input (REFIO) allows for the use of an external reference source for optimum flexibility and improved gain accuracy. The clock inputs of the MAX5878 accept both LVDS and LVPECL-compatible voltage levels. The device features an interleaved data input that allows a single LVDS bus to support both DACs. The MAX5878 is available in a 68-pin QFN package with an exposed paddle (EP) and is specified for the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). Refer to the MAX5876* and MAX5877* data sheets for pin-compatible 12-bit and 14-bit versions of the MAX5878, respectively. Refer to the MAX5875 data sheet for a CMOS-compatible version of the MAX5878.

  • MAXIM MAX5154/MAX5155 Data Sheet

The MAX5154/MAX5155 are low-power, serial, voltage-output, dual 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that consume only 500µA from a single +5V (MAX5154) or +3V (MAX5155) supply. These devices feature Rail-to-Rail® output swing and are available in a space-saving 16-pin QSOP package. To maximize the dynamic range, the DAC output amplifiers are configured with an internal gain of +2V/V. The 3-wire serial interface is SPI™/QSPI™ and Microwire™ compatible. Each DAC has a double-buffered input organized as an input register followed by a DAC register, which allows the input and DAC reg- isters to be updated independently or simultaneously with a 16-bit serial word. Additional features include programmable shutdown (2µA), hardware-shutdown lockout (PDL), a separate reference voltage input for each DAC that accepts AC and DC signals, and an active-low clear input (CL) that resets all registers and DACs to zero. These devices provide a programmable logic pin for added functionality, and a serial-data out- put pin for daisy chaining.

  • MAXIM MAX4551/MAX4552/MAX4553 Data Sheet

The MAX4551/MAX4552/MAX4553 are quad, low-voltage, single-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switches. Each switch is protected against ±15kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) shocks, without latchup or damage. On-resistance (100Ω max) is matched between switches to 4Ω max, and is flat (8Ω max) over the specified signal range. Each switch can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. The off-leakage current is only 1nA at +25°C and 10nA at +85°C. The MAX4551 has four normally closed (NC) switches, and the MAX4552 has four normally open (NO) switches. The MAX4553 has two NC and two NO switches. These CMOS switches can operate with dual power supplies ranging from ±2V to ±6V or a single supply between +2V and +12V. They are fully specified for single +2.7V operation. All digital inputs have +0.8V and +2.4V logic thresholds, ensuring TTL/CMOS-logic compatibility when using ±5V or a single +5V supply.

  • MAXIM MAX9705 Data Sheet

The MAX9705 is a 3rd-generation, ultra-low EMI, mono, Class D audio power amplifier that provides Class AB performance with Class D efficiency. It delivers 2.3W into a 4Ω load and offers efficiencies above 85%. The active emissions limiting (AEL) circuitry reduces EMI by controlling the output FET gate transitions under all possible transient output-voltage conditions. The zero dead time (ZDT) technology allows the output FETs to switch simultaneously without cross-conduction, maintaining efficiency and THD+N performance. The patented spread-spectrum modulation scheme eliminates the need for output filtering found in traditional Class D devices. These design concepts reduce component count and extend battery life. The MAX9705 offers two modulation schemes: fixed-frequency (FFM) mode and spread-spectrum (SSM) mode, which further reduces EMI-radiated emissions due to the modulation frequency. The MAX9705 oscillator can be synchronized to an external clock through the SYNC input, allowing the switching frequency to be externally defined. The SYNC input also enables cascading and frequency locking of multiple MAX9705s, minimizing interference due to clock intermodulation. The device utilizes a fully differential architecture, a full-bridged output, and comprehensive...

  • MAXIM MAX394 handbook

The MAX394 is a precision, low-voltage, quad, single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) analog switch. The four independent switches operate with bipolar supplies ranging from ±2.7V to ±8V, or with a single supply of +2.7V to +15V. The MAX394 offers low on-resistance (less than 35Ω), guaranteed to match within 2Ω between channels and to remain flat over the analog signal range (∆4Ω max). It also offers break-before-make switching (10ns typical), with turn-off times less than 75ns and turn-on times less than 130ns. The MAX394 is ideal for portable operation since quiescent current runs less than 1µA with all inputs high or low. This monolithic, quad switch is fabricated with Maxim’s low voltage silicon-gate process. Design improvements guarantee extremely low charge injection (10pC), low power consumption (10µW), and electrostatic discharge (ESD) greater than 2000V. Logic inputs are TTL and CMOS compatible and guaranteed over a +0.8V to +2.4V range for supply voltages up to +8V. When supplies exceed +8V, the inputs are typically +0.8V to +4V. Logic inputs and switched analog signals can range anywhere between the supply voltages without damage.
