  • Maxim Improved Precision Micropower Shunt Voltage LM4040 handbook

LM4040 is a precision two-terminal shunt mode, bandgap voltage reference available in fixed reverse breakdown voltages of 2.048V, 2.500V, 3.000V, 3.3V, 4.096V, and 5.000V. Ideal for space-critical applications, the LM4040 is offered in the subminiature 3-pin SC70 surface-mount package (1.8mm ✕ 1.8mm), 50% smaller than comparable devices in SOT23 surface- mount packages (SOT23 versions are also available). Laser-trimmed resistors ensure precise initial accuracy. With a 100ppm/°C temperature coefficient, the device is offered in four grades of initial accuracy ranging from 0.1% to 1%. The LM4040 has a 60µA to 15mA shunt current capability with low dynamic impedance, ensuring stable reverse breakdown voltage accuracy over a wide range of operating temperatures and currents. The LM4040 does not require an external stabilizing capacitor while ensuring stability with any capacitive load. The LM4040 is guaranteed over the temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. For a 1.225V output version, refer to the LM4041 data sheet.

  • MAXIM MAX1909 handbook

The MAX1909 evaluation kit is an accurate and efficient multichemistry battery charger. It can charge three or four series Li+ cells with a current up to 3A. Charge current and input-source current are adjustable using on-board potentiometers. The output voltage is set to 4.2V ✕ the number of series cells in the battery pack. The number of series cells is jumper-selectable. The output voltage is adjustable between 4V to 4.4V (✕ number of series cells) by installing two resistors. The EV kit provides outputs to monitor the AC adapter current and the presence of an AC adapter. The MAX1909 automatically selects the power path for supplying power to the system by controlling two external P-channel MOSFETs. This decision is made based on the presence of an AC adapter.

  • MAXIM DS2149 5V T1/J1 Line Interface Unit handbook

DS2149 is a fully integrated LIU for long-haul or short-haul T1 applications over twisted-pair installations. It interfaces to two twisted-pair lines—one pair for transmit and one pair for receive through an appropriate network interface. The device can be configured for control through software or hardware mode. Software control is accomplished over a serial port, in hardware mode; individual pin settings allow standalone operation. The device provides a precise, crystal-less jitter attenuator that can be placed in either the transmit or receive path.

  • MAXIM DS2149 5V T1/J1 Line Interface Unit datasheet

This document mainly introduces the features of DS2149, including support for long-distance or short-distance T1 applications, support for hardware or software control, and support for a precise crystal-less jitter attenuator

  • MAXIM DS21458DK Quad T1/E1/J1 Transceiver Design Kit Daughter Card handbook

The DS21458DK Design Kit is an easy-to-use evaluation board for the DS21458 quad T1/E1/J1 transceiver. The kit includes the DS21458 quad SCT, transformers, termination resistors, configuration switches, line protection circuitry, network connectors, and motherboard connectors. The DK101/DK2000 motherboard and Dallas' ChipView software provide point-and-click access to configuration and status registers from a Windows®-based PC. On-board LEDs indicate receive loss-of-signal and interrupt status. An on-board FPGA contains mux logic to connect framer ports to one another or to the DK2000 in a variety of configurations. Each DS21458DK is shipped with a free DK101 motherboard. For complex applications, the DK2000 high-performance demo kit motherboard can be purchased separately.

  • MAXIM DS21455/DS21458 Quad T1/E1/J1 Transceivers handbook

The DS21455/DS21458 is a quad monolithic device featuring independent transceivers that can be software configured for T1, E1, or J1 operation. Each is composed of a line interface unit (LIU), framer, HDLC controllers, and a TDM backplane interface, and is controlled via an 8-bit parallel port configured for Intel or Motorola bus operations. The DS21455* is a direct replacement for the older DS21Q55 quad MCM device. The DS21458, in a smaller package (17mm CSBGA) and featuring an improved controller interface, is software compatible with the older DS21Q55. Unlike the DS21Q55, which has a JTAG controller-per-transceiver architecture, the JTAG function on the DS21455/DS21458 is a single controller for all four transceivers.

  • MAXIM DS21448DK 3.3V E1/T1/J1 Line Interface Design Kit Daughter Card handbook

The DS21448DK is an easy-to-use evaluation board for the DS21448 quad E1/T1/J1 LIU. It is intended to be used as a daughter card with the DK101 motherboard or the DK2000 motherboard. A surface-mounted DS21448 and careful layout of the analog signal traces provide maximum signal integrity to demonstrate the transmit and receive capabilities of the DS21448. The DK101/DK2000 motherboard and Dallas’ ChipView software give point-and-click access to configuration and status registers from a Windows-based PC. On-board LEDs indicate interrupt status and receive-carrier loss for all four ports. The evaluation board provides both RJ45 and BNC connectors for the line-side transmit and receive differential pairs on all four ports. Each DS21448DK is shipped with a free DK101 motherboard. For complex applications, the DK2000 high-performance demo kit motherboard can be purchased separately.

  • MAXIM DS21448 3.3V E1/T1/J1 Quad Line Interface handbook

The DS21448 is a quad-port E1 or T1 line interface unit (LIU) for short-haul and long-haul applications. It incorporates four independent transmitters and four independent receivers in a single 144-pin PBGA or 128-pin LQFP package. It has a usable receiver sensitivity range of 0 to -43dB for E1 applications and 0 to -36dB for T1 applications. It supports both internal and external receive termination and has diagnostic capabilities such as loopbacks and PRBS pattern generation and detection.

  • MAXIM DS21354/DS21554 3.3V/5V E1 Single-Chip Transceivers handbook

DS21354/DS213554 single-chip transceivers (SCTs) contain all the necessary functions to connect to E1 lines. The devices are upward-compatible versions of the DS2153 and DS2154 SCTs. The on-board clock/data recovery circuitry coverts the AMI/HDB3 E1 waveforms to an NRZ serial stream. Both devices automatically adjust to E1 22AWG (0.6mm) twisted- pair cables from 0 to over 2km in length. They can generate the necessary G.703 waveshapes for both 75 coax and 120 twisted cables. The on-board jitter attenuator (selectable to either 32 bits or 128 bits) can be placed in either the transmit or receive data paths. The framer locates the frame and multiframe boundaries and monitors the data stream for alarms. It is also used for extracting and inserting signaling data, Si, and Sa-bit information. The on-board HDLC controller can be used for Sa-bit links or DS0s. The devices contain a set of internal registers that the user can access to control the operation of the units. Quick access through the parallel control port allows a single controller to handle many E1 lines. The devices fully meet all the latest E1 specifications, including ITU-T G.703, G.704, G.706, G.707, G.803 and G.803.1.
