The EL4511 super sync separator IC is designed for operation in the next generation of DTV, HDTV, and projector applications, as well as broadcast equipment and other applications where video signals need to be processed. The EL4511 accepts sync on green, separate sync, and H/V sync inputs, automatically selecting the relevant format. It is also capable of detecting and decoding tri-level syncs used with the latest HD systems. Unlike standard sync separators, the EL4511 can automatically detect the line rate and locks to it, without the use of an external RSET resistor. The EL4511 is available in a 24-pin QSOP package and operates over the full 0°C to 70°C temperature range.

The HIP4020 is a half amp full bridge power driver for small 3V, 5V, and 12V DC motors. It utilizes an H-Configuration to cross-switch the drive voltage and change the direction of current flow in the load, enabling 4-quadrant load control.

The EL5225 is a 10-channel TFT-LCD reference voltage generator from Intersil that can operate over the full -40°C to +85°C temperature range. The device has 10 outputs with a resolution of 10 bits and is programmed using a 3-wire SPI compatible interface. The EL5225 can be stacked to meet applications requiring more than 10 outputs. The reference inputs can be tied to the rails, enabling each part to output the full voltage range, or alternatively, they can be connected to external resistors to split the output range and enable finer resolutions of the outputs.

Intersil HS-26C31RH is a quad differential line driver designed for digital data transmission over balanced lines and meets the requirements of EIA standard RS-422. Radiation hardened CMOS processing assures low power consumption, high speed, and reliable operation in the most severe radiation environments. The HS-26C31RH accepts CMOS signal levels and converts them to RS-422 compatible outputs. This circuit uses special outputs that enable the drivers to power down without loading down the bus. Enable and disable pins allow several devices to be connected to the same data source and addressed independently.

This document introduces the Radiation Hardened MOSFET series developed by Intersil, specifically designed for commercial and military space applications. These products have enhanced immunity to Single Event Effects (SEE), particularly Single Event Gate Rupture (SEGR), combined with 100K RADS of total dose hardness, making them ideal for harsh space environments. The MOSFET series includes N-Channel and P-Channel devices with a variety of voltage, current, and on-resistance ratings. Numerous packaging options are available. This MOSFET is an enhancement-mode silicon-gate power field-effect transistor of the vertical DMOS (VDMOS) structure. It is specially designed and processed to be radiation tolerant. The MOSFET is well suited for applications exposed to radiation environments such as switching regulation, switching converters, motor drives, relay drivers, and drivers for high-power bipolar switching transistors requiring high speed and low gate drive power. The ISL84516 and ISL84517 are precision analog switches designed for ±1.5V to ±6V supplies. They are suitable for battery powered equipment due to their low power consumption, low leakage currents, and fast switching speeds. Excellent RON flatness maintains signal fidelity over the whole input range, while micro packaging alleviates board space limitations.

The HIN230-HIN241 family of RS-232 transmitters/receivers interface circuits meet all ElA RS-232E and V.28 specifications, and are particularly suited for those applications where ±12V is not available. They require a single +5V power supply (except HIN231 and HIN239) and feature onboard charge pump voltage converters which generate +10V and -10V supplies from the 5V supply. The HIN233 and HIN235 require no external capacitors and are ideally suited for applications where circuit board space is critical. The family of devices offer a wide variety of RS-232 transmitter/receiver combinations to accommodate various applications (see Selection Table).

The EL4581 is a device designed to extract timing information from standard negative video sync signals found in NTSC, PAL, and SECAM broadcast systems, as well as non-standard formats and computer graphics systems at higher scan rates. It provides a reliable method of determining the correct sync slide level by setting it to the mid-point between the sync tip and blanking level at the back porch. The device has noise rejection capabilities and compensates for input signal variations.

The ISL6557A is a multi-phase PWM controller for core-voltage regulation. It drives up to four interleaved synchronous-rectified buck-converter channels in parallel. The multi-phase buck converter architecture uses interleaved timing to multiply ripple frequency and reduce input and output ripple currents. Lower ripple results in lower total component cost, reduced dissipation, and smaller implementation area. The ISL6557A also features Dynamic-VID™ technology, allowing seamless on-the-fly VID changes with no need for any additional external components. It provides fast and reliable dynamic VID changes with no output voltage overshoot or undershoot. The RGND and VSEN pins provide inputs for differential remote voltage sensing to improve regulation and protection accuracy.

82C284 is a clock generator/driver from Intersil that provides clock signals for 80C286 processors and support components. It also contains logic to supply READY to the CPU from either asynchronous or synchronous sources and synchronous RESET from an asynchronous input with hysteresis.
