The EPSON Stylus RIP software allows users to utilize their EPSON Stylus Color or Photo inkjet printers as PostScript 3 (for Macintosh, Windows 2000, and Windows NT) and Level 2 (for Windows 95 and 98) compatible devices. The software automatically reads Adobe PostScript files created by the Epson Stylus RIP printer driver, converts them into raster images, and prints them on the connected printer.
In many cases, you may not need the ability to print in PostScript and should use the standard non-PostScript driver instead.
The software supports printing from complex PostScript-based drawing and publishing applications like Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, Adobe PageMaker, QuarkXPress, and Corel DRAW.
The software includes EPSON error diffusion software (AcuPhoto Halftoning), PANTONE professional color palette files, ColorSync 2.x support for Macintosh, and Press Simulation.
