RAiO RA8806 Two Layers Character/Graphic LCD Controller Specification
The RAiO RA8806 is a versatile LCD controller designed for dot-matrix STN-LCDs, supporting both character and graphic display modes. It features built-in Display Data RAM (DDRAM) for two-layer overlay displays and an embedded font ROM capable of displaying traditional Chinese (BIG5), simplified Chinese (GB), and Japanese Kanji fonts.
The device supports 6800/8080 MPU protocols with switchable 4-bit or 8-bit data buses. Key capabilities include a maximum resolution of 320x240 pixels in normal mode, extension modes up to 640x240 or 320x480, and an embedded 512-byte Character Generation RAM (CGRAM) for user-defined fonts.
