This datasheet details the AD9958, a 2-channel, 500 MSPS Direct Digital Synthesizer with 10-bit DACs, covering specifications, features, and operational…
The AD9958 is a 2-channel Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) featuring 500 MSPS operation and integrated 10-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs). It provides independent frequency, phase, and amplitude control for each channel, with excellent channel-to-channel isolation and support for up to 16 levels of modulation. The device includes an integrated reference clock multiplier (PLL) and supports various clock sources, including an internal VCO and external crystal oscillators.
The AD9958 utilizes a serial I/O port compatible with SPI, offering multiple configurations through four data pins to ensure flexibility in system design. It operates with a 1.8 V supply for the DDS core and a 3.3 V supply for the digital I/O interface, supporting industrial temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. The device is housed in a 56-lead LFCSP package.
