The MPC8315E Communication Processor family supports a broad range of feature-rich applications that make the digital home experience easier, richer and more secure. The cost-effective MPC8315E processor meets the requirements of several small office/home office (SOHO) applications, including customer network attached storage (NAS), digital media servers, residential gateways, WLAN access points, printing, IP business and industrial control. It provides better CPU performance, additional features and faster interface speeds, while meeting important time-to-market, price, power consumption and board space requirements. Its integration of Serial ATA, PCI Express® Gigabit Ethernet, high-speed USB 2.0, TDM and low power management makes it unique in the marketplace.
