Kinetis is a low power, mixed signal microcontroller based on the ARM® CortexTM-M4 with extreme scalability. The first phase of products consists of five microcontroller series, including over two hundred devices, which are pin, peripheral, and software compatible. Each series provides different performance, memory and peripheral features. Consistency of common peripherals, memory mapping and package enables easy migration within and across the series. Kinetis microcontrollers are based on Freescale’s innovative 90 nanometer thin film storage (TFS) flash technology with a unique Flex Memory (configurable embedded EEPROM). Kinetis microcontroller series incorporates latest low power innovation technologies, with high performance, high precision mixed signal capability, wide connectivity, human machine interfaces and security peripherals. Freescale and many other ARM third party application vendors provide Kinetis microcontroller application support.
