The Ohaus Defender 3000 Series Base is a weighing platform designed for use with the 3000 Series Indicator. The manual covers safety precautions, unpacking, assembly of the weighing pan, and wiring connections for six-wire load cells. It also details how to select a proper location and level the base using the four leveling feet.

Operate the base only under specified ambient conditions, ensure the load cell cable does not pose a tripping hazard, and do not operate in hazardous environments or unstable locations.
Always lift from the bottom frame when moving the base; do not lift by the top frame.
