About this manual

This document provides instructions for Flowline Switch-Tek™ Powered Liquid Level Switches, covering four specific models: the Vibration type (LZ12), Ultrasonic type (LU10), Optic Leak Detection type (LO10), and Capacitance type (LP15). All series feature two outputs: a 4-20 mA current switch and a 60VA SPST dry contact relay. They are manufactured with thermoplastics for submersible use in corrosive environments.

Frequently asked questions

What liquids will an LP15 series sensor detect?

The LP15 series is factory-calibrated for liquids with a dielectric value between 20 and 80. Liquids with a dielectric constant less than 20 will not be detected.

How does the LZ12 Vibration switch detect liquid?

It operates at a nominal frequency of 400 Hz; immersion in liquid causes a frequency shift that indicates the presence of the medium.

What is the purpose of the Maintenance Alarm on the LZ12?

It outputs an alarm when material buildup prevents the vibration switch from operating at its operational frequency.
