The IDEXX-QC Fecal Coliform Control Standard Kit is a set of cultured bacteria used for quality control testing and standard performance evaluation. The product contains active Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and should be operated at room temperature. This product can be used for the preparation and testing of fecal coliform control samples.
The IDEXX QC Fecal Coliform Control Standard Kit is a set of cultured bacteria designed for quality control testing and standard performance evaluation. It provides both positive and negative controls containing active microorganisms located in colored discs within small vials containing silica desiccant. The kit includes three tubes of Escherichia coli and three tubes of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is intended for use by trained laboratory personnel in laboratories with microbiological testing capabilities and must be handled according to appropriate biosafety regulations.
To use the kit, the vials must be stored at ≤-10°C and allowed to equilibrate to room temperature for 10-15 minutes before opening. One colored disc is transferred aseptically into a bottle containing 100ml of IDEXX sterile rehydration buffer or sterile, non-buffered, non-oxidizing water. The sample is mixed by inverting the bottle 10 times after the disc dissolves. The rehydrated sample must be used within 30 minutes. For testing, the sample is mixed with Colilert reagent, poured into a 97-well quantitative plate, sealed, and incubated at 44.5°C for 24 hours. Results are read as yellow for fecal coliforms, and the final result is obtained by consulting an MPN table. This manual is written in Chinese.
