This document is the instruction manual for ESI, an electromagnetic safety interlock with a separate actuator. It includes an introduction, safety features, characteristics, technical specifications, types of interlocks, and installation and environmental conditions.
The Carlo Gavazzi ESI is an electromagnetic safety interlock designed for machines where hazardous conditions persist after a stop signal is generated. It helps achieve ISO 14119 compliant safety systems by ensuring operator protection through electrical and mechanical locking mechanisms. The device features a robust polymer housing with an IP65 protection rating and is suitable for operating temperatures between -25°C and +55°C. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Operating Temperature | -25°C to +55°C |
|---|---|
| Protection Rating | IP65 |
| Max Drive Speed | 20 m/min |
| Switching Frequency | 600 cycles/hour |
| Tensile Strength | 1200N |
| Contact Resistance | 25 mΩ |
| Mechanical Durability | 1 million operations |
| Rated Current (AC-15 24V) | 10A |
| Rated Current (AC-15 230V) | 4A |
| Rated Current (DC-13 24V) | 4A |
The device is constructed to meet SIL 3, PL e, and Category 2 interlock standards.
The actuator is locked when the solenoid is activated and is released by turning off the power.
The entire device should be replaced after 1 million operations.
