About this manual

The PM6690 is a three-phase step-down switching controller with embedded gate drivers, designed to supply the CPU of the Intel mobile platform according to INTEL MVP7 specifications. It utilizes a clocked constant on-time (CkCOT) architecture to allow nearly constant switching frequency over load and ensures 120° phase shift PWM operation when all three phases are enabled.

Key features include an adjustable load line with thermal compensation via an NTC, lossless current sensing using inductor DCR or RSENSE, and output voltage ripple compensation. The device also offers selectable PWM switching frequency, tunable overshoot thresholds, and skip mode for increased efficiency at light loads.
