About this manual

The STM690A/692A/703/704/802/805/817/818/819 supervisors are self-contained devices that provide microprocessor supervisory functions. They monitor the supply voltage for out-of-tolerance conditions and force the reset output low or high accordingly. These devices also offer a watchdog timer and a power-fail comparator to provide early warning of impending power failure.

Frequently asked questions

What is the watchdog timer time?

The internal watchdog timer runs out and triggers a reset if the input remains high or low for 1.6 seconds.

Which models have a power-fail comparator?

The power-fail comparator is available on most models except the STM818.

Can the watchdog function be disabled?

Yes, the watchdog function can be disabled by allowing the WDI pin to float.
