This document describes the features and characteristics of a metal body proximity detector based on the TDE0160.
The STEVAL-IFS004V1 is a demonstration board designed as a metal body proximity detector. It is built around the TDE0160 integrated circuit, which detects metal bodies using the effect of eddy currents on the high-frequency losses of a coil. The board features two complementary open collector outputs with peak limiting and adjustable hysteresis.
