SMSC USB2223-03-03 is a USB2.0 flash media controller that provides a complete system solution for interfacing various storage devices to the USB2.0 bus. It supports SmartMediaTM (SM), Memory StickTM (MS), High Speed Memory Stick (HSMS), Memory Stick PROTM (MSPRO), Memory Stick DuoTM (MSDUO), Secure Digital (SD), Mini-Secure Digital (Mini-SD), Transflash (SD), MultiMediaCardTM (MMC), Reduced Size Multimedia Card (RS-MMC), NAND Flash, Compact FlashTM (CF), CF UltraTM I&II, and CF form-factor ATA hard drives. It allows simultaneous operation of the supported devices, but only one device from each group (CF or ATA drive, SM or NAND, SD or MMC) can be operated at a time. The controller includes on-chip 4-bit high speed Memory Stick and MS PRO hardware circuitry, as well as 1-bit ECC correction for maximum efficiency. It is USB Bus Power Certified, has 3.3 Volt I/O with 5V input tolerance, and is fully compatible with USB Specification 2.0.
