This document introduces the features and characteristics of Fairchild Power Switch (FPS™) FSL126MR. Fairchild Power Switch (FPS™) FSL126MR is a green mode power switch with an internal Avalanche-Rugged SenseFET (650V) and low power consumption.
The FSL126MR is an integrated Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) and SenseFET designed for high-performance offline Switch-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) with minimal external components. It combines an avalanche-rugged SenseFET with a current-mode PWM control block to reduce component count and design size while increasing efficiency.
The device features a precision fixed operating frequency with frequency modulation for attenuating EMI, internal startup circuitry, and built-in soft-start. It includes various protection mechanisms such as pulse-by-pulse current limiting, abnormal over-current function with hysteresis, auto-restart mode, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown.
