This document describes the operating instructions and safety precautions for Hayward PL-PS-4-X288, PL-PS-8-X288 and PL-PS-16-X288 SmartControl Automation.
The SmartControl is a multifunction pool controller used to fully manage pool and spa systems. It can control pumps, valves, lighting, heaters, and chlorination. The system supports both manual and automatic (programmed) operation modes.

The ideal range for Free Chlorine is 1.0-3.0 ppm.
The ideal pH range is 7.2-7.8.
The ideal Alkalinity range is 80-120 ppm.
The ideal Salt range is 2700 - 3400 ppm.
