This manual introduces the features and usage of AJA R44E 4-Channel Monitoring Encoder R-series Card Module.
The AJA R44E Serial Digital Video Encoder provides four channels of low-cost all-digital encoding of 4:2:2 component serial digital to analog NTSC or PAL. It is designed for use in monitoring, level/phase checking, check dubs, or desktop video applications. The module features four independent channels, each with separate D/A converters and broadcast encoding capabilities.

When ON (Down), the output is Y (luminance); when OFF (Up), the output is composite (NTSC or PAL).
When ON (Down), it outputs an internal 75% Color Bars test pattern; when OFF (Up), the unit operates normally.
