This manual provides operating instructions for the Aprilaire Model 8870 Communicating Thermostat. The device operates similarly to a conventional thermostat but offers unique capabilities for local or remote control via a home automation system. It can be integrated into an Aprilaire Model 8825 System Controller or operated independently.
The five available modes are OFF, COOL, HEAT or COOL (AUTO-CHANGEOVER), EM. HEAT (for heat pumps only), and HEAT.
