This manual introduces the features and usage of Aprilaire Zoned Comfort Control System.
The Aprilaire Model 6404 is a zoned comfort control system designed to increase home comfort and reduce energy costs by directing conditioned air only to areas requiring it. The system consists of thermostats, a control panel, air control dampers, and heating or cooling equipment. It can manage two stages of heat and two stages of cool, controlling 2, 3, or 4 zones directly, with the potential for up to 12 zones using expansion panels.
The Model 6404 itself will control 2, 3 or 4 zones.
It is designed to handle three stages of heat (two stage compressor, one auxiliary heat) and two stages of cool.
To turn off the system, you need to set ALL of your thermostats to the OFF mode.
