The SC11485/SC11487/SC11489/SC12485/SC12487/SC12489 is a family of 16-bit HiCOLOR palettes that support both the popular HiCOLOR-15 format (32,768 colors) and the HiCOLOR-16 color format (65,536 colors). These devices offer anti-aliasing capability, programmable pedestals, and maintain color integrity when multiple windows are displayed simultaneously.
The family includes variants with 6-bit or 8-bit D/A converters. The SC11489/SC12489 offers three 8-bit D/A converters and a 256 x 24 color lookup table, while the SC11485/SC12485 offers three 6-bit D/A converters and a 256 x 18 lookup table. All models support RS-343A and RS-170 compatible video outputs.
The relationship between RSET and the full scale output current uses a K value of 3.025 for 8-bit operation.
